I just got my car shipped in from New Hampshire and it has a ton of rust. I need to replace the front and rear calipers and rotors mostly because I'm gonna be autoxing this car. I know the 300zx upgrade is popular but i'm wondering if anyone has tried using porsche boxter calipers. You can sometimes find good deals on used ones.

someone on Freshalloy has installed Porsche calipers, but i forgot his name....
i remembered that he had to of course build custome brackets for the calipers to hold onto, and he had SSR Competitions with a fairly high offset, around 30-35 up front and it cleared....
hopefully you'll find a good amount of wrecked Porsche Boxters or Carerras from a junkyard.....

Yeah, someone on Freshalloy did it. I also forgot his name on there, but did steal the pic.

Glenn did it on his S13 Silvia. Swing over to freshalloy and you'll find the posting.
Last time I talked to him, he was thinking about selling the parts he used to get it done...

nice  I'd imagine that would be a good bit of fabrication though. and those look like Big Reds, not Boxster brakes.

Definatley not regular boxster brakes. I think the units on that 240 are the 6 piston ones. Pretty sweet.

yea. i saw his car on norcal 240sx' mailing list. his car looks sweet. he practically tore it from the ground up and repainted and rebuilt the entire car to be like new. kinda like what darkknight did to his car. that car was the hottest looking and a work of art from a perfectionist. RIP.
