I will be putting my Tanabe Springs on as well as my new shocks next week. But my new shocks didnt come with dust boots, and the stock ones are totally destroyed. So do I have to go to Nissan to buy these? I am assuming that the boots are universal so they will work fine on my KYBs. I just have a feeling the they will be way to $$ at the dealer. Anyone know where i can buy the boots?

The dealer will rape you if you go there to buy boots. www.tirerack.com has them for pretty cheap....like $10 a piece.

Yeah, I figured there would be rape involved.
I guess Tire Rack will do.

i would think that local parts stores might have dust boots. if they did i bet they'd be hella cheap. i have a personal grudge against tire rack and refuse to purchase from them.

yeah i'll explain my problem with tire rack......
when i was ordering tires for my car (the General XP's just won't do for summer) i called tire rack to get some advice. can't remember who i talked to but i told them the tire i wanted but needed some help on choosing a size. being somewhat uneducated in tire's i asked them what the biggest tire would be that would fit on my stock wheels. i was told 225/50's. i then proceeded to ask him specifically if this was the best option for maximizing performance, and if there were any drawbacks to using a tire this large on such a small wheel. i was told that this would be my best option (i was a bit skeptical, but i'm not the "expert" so i just believed what i was told). when it came time to put the tires on my car, our tire guy at work asked me why in the #### i got tires so big. i explained the situation, and he proceeded to explain to me why this was a bad idea. (if there is a request for me to explain why this is a bad idea i'll post a response). seeing as how i'd only driven 5 miles on the tires i called tire rack in hopes of an exchange. they said even though i was given bad information it was still my fault and since i had driven on the tires they would not accept a return. i spoke with many people about this situation including the wholesale manager to no avail. so if you're still reading this short story, that is why i refuse to deal with tire rack.

if u want your shocks to last. it keeps all the debris from the road from gettin up on the shaft and pitting and damaging it. very good cheap investment

I got mine from Tirerack and they are great. They fit really well on my tokicos(s14) and they come with zip ties to tighten down the open end. Also they have a rubber bumpstop on the tops!!! cheap and well worth it. Sorry tnord-The guys I talked with were awesome and really easy to deal with. Of course shock boots are pretty simple.
