There are a lot of awesome builds on Zilvia already and I hope I can contribute to that. I also want to help out the community for others who wants to do a S15 conversion or are in the middle of a S15 conversion.

This is my car how I bought it 4 years ago. It's a 1996 Nissan 200SX S14 with a SR20DET.

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/ROtiFDQ9ABI/AAAAAAAAEdw/MNTWCSUCA7I/s800/0608170007.jpg

My first mods where some Sport Edition (German special edition) 17" BBS wheels:

But I always liked the S15 front. Inspired by my brothers old S14.5 I decided to put on a S15 front as well.

Nice, clean 200sx, what are you going to do with the headlights?

JOeS
10-02-2010, 12:29 PM
I bought some headlights but still needed to buy the mounting brackets and connector plugs. It took quite some time to find to correct ones. So here's a complete list with part numbers:

- 26090-85F00 - Left S15 headlight bracket
- 26040-85F00 - Right S15 headlight bracket
- 84343-79901 - blinker/parking light plugs (2x)
- HB3 9005 plugs - High beam plugs (2x)
- 24028-AG007 - low beam plugs (2X) -> These are actually the wrong ones. I should need an exact mirror image from these ones. So I just remove the ridges and the edges from the plugs. Then they slide right in. Perhaps the correct part number is B4342-79906.

26090-85F00 - Left S15 headlight bracket:

- 26040-85F00 - Right S15 headlight bracket:

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TKd047pQwzI/AAAAAAAAFA0/6Re91KaixbA/s800/DSC_0020.jpg

84343-79901 - blinker/pariking light plug:

HB 9005 plug:

Two of my friends are going to do all the bodywork. First is to cut the rear fenders:

Then weld it together:

European build threads are always the best, hands down...especially compared to the sloppy shit most of ours are. Attention to detail and always quality parts being used, love it.

I was actually hoping for something like this to come along because I've been dying to know when I can get some of those OEM-EDM 200SX side-marker turn signals and was wondering if perhaps you knew?

3. Keep it up!

1. I'm going to have it paint in Lexus Desert Sage Metallic. I know the purple is also nice, but it's too loud for me.

2. The overs are going to be mounted with rivets but I have it molded by the paint shop.

3. Thx!

Kouki wing with zenki front, those wheels, low... would look real good.

You mean the ones on the front fender between the wheel arch and the door? They're both amber for the zenki and kouki. We just use some white ones from another Nissan car.

We just use ones from a Nissan Almera/Pulsar or Micra. You can buy those everywhere in Europe. For example over here: Knipperlichten - Nissan - Productadvies - Tuning - Autostyle - Producten - AutoShop Gistel (http://www.autoshopgistel.be/EN/Products/Autostyle?Source=Products&SearchFor=&Make=620&Model=&IndexNo=174) or ebay UK: nissan micra side repeaters items - Get great deals on Vehicle Parts Accessories, Tuning Styling items on eBay UK! The fronts don't fit over my brake calipers, so I had to use 10mm spacers. So it's actually 18x10 -24. I agree, else they would fit.

Dont get rid of the front wheels! just sell those front fenders and buy wider ones. That car is going to need the most gangster stance possible! S14.5 look like hell without bigger overs on all four corners.

I already looked into that. The problem is that there are no wider S15 conversion fenders. I've searched for several months. And some company's I e-mailed don't even reply at all. So therefore I got the other set of wheels.

I have been seeing a lot of this coming out of australia and now here.

You're doing it wrong!

The card is to fit between the wall of the tire and the inside of the fender, and if it can hang there, it shows you are running so flush you are mm from touching.

Anyone can set a card on top of their tire.

And yes, those front rims looked awesome but sadly where WAY to wide :(

please tel me the hood will not have that stripe?

fab work looks great, great attention to the details.
should look really nice and those rear over fenders give it a bit of agressive feel, i like it, and i hate conversions.

No worries mate, it was meant as a joke. It was about the type of card, rather than showing it's flush. :hs:

And no, I'm definately not keeing the stripe. I only keep my air vents unpainted.

We fabricated some sliding brackets to mount the front bumper and prevent it from sacking in the corners below the headlights:

Extra support for the front fender:

And a support on the front was fabricated:

We also mounted the side skirts, rear bumper, kouki trunk lid and kouki spoiler.

We have adjusted my exhaust so it comes straight out of the middle of the hole in my bumper. Some hours grinding, adjusting and welding later.

Before:

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TKUcnrzRU-I/AAAAAAAAE_Q/MQydik0msbY/s800/IMAG0012.jpg

After :D:

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TLnRGNGnz0I/AAAAAAAAFCo/QLehzsUKxE8/s800/IMAG0009.jpg

We also made a battery box which is lowered into the trunk. Over which I can make a flat floorboard for in my trunk. Makes it look tidy in the back.

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TLgDsrnE7EI/AAAAAAAAFB4/4-5XW9-fR6Y/s800/IMAG0003.jpg

http://lh4.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TLgDs-L0ZmI/AAAAAAAAFB8/Us4X_OcQFKk/s800/IMAG0005.jpg

We also tried my new front wheel from Japan, 18x10 +41 (+30mm spacer) 235/40:

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TLgDtMeEqII/AAAAAAAAFCA/iPS2olETPMI/s800/IMAG0018.jpg

I'm not really pleased with the low disk compared to my other wheel. So we're going to try and fit a S13 LCA and try to fit my big dish 10J ET -14 (+10mm spacer) wheel.

Great attention on the s15 front end install and fitment! Personally I don't like that front bumper at all, but good stuff so far, keep it up!

You didn't have to do all that fab. work for the battery! They have small dry cell batteries that fit and tuck almost anywhere in the trunk!

Run smaller tires in front and you're good to go with the deep rims! :bigok:

Just wondering what's the purpose of this car when it's done? Is it your daily?

JOeS
10-24-2010, 12:59 PM
Thanks for the compliment! :bigok:

Smaller tires is not the solution as the rims are sticking out to much. In the Netherlands we are not allowed to drive like that.

Yes, it's my daily so it also needs to be practical. Hence the battery that low in the trunk. Else, where would I put my 2 crates of beer when I do my groceries? :D

JOeS

We fitted the S13 LCA and now my deep dish 18x10 -14 (+10mm spacer, so actually -24) fits! So, I'm a happy man! :D

It's on maxmimum camber (with a camber bolt as well) as you can see from the front:

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_1XiVntc2mik/TMRs5_k1vYI/AAAAAAAAFC4/-8do8POhoeQ/s800/IMG_20101021_224513.jpg

I also want to add a 5mm spacer to the back and give it some negative camber as well.

Bushido

10-30-2010, 10:12 PM
are you going to re-adjust your front height along with run a smaller tire to run less camber?

JOeS
10-31-2010, 07:04 AM
Yes, I want to adjust the camber. But as I said before, I cannot run a smaller tire as it is not allowed to drive with wheels, tires, rims that are sticking out of the fenders in the Netherlands. So I'm looking into narrower brake calipers and/or wider front fenders. I know that Origin Labs S15 conversion fenders are 30mm instead of Chargespeed 20mm ones. But I cannot find any pics of cars with these fenders on to compare with.

My front was damaged because of a collision so I put a kouki front on. Then 6 months later I was hit again, so I had to look for a new front again. Therefore I decided to get a S15 front and a total makeover. So the Zenki front was already gone. Nevertheless I never liked the zenki front, I always was a fan of the kouki. But I liked the S15 the most, but too bad it was only RHD. So I'm a happy man now!

Not too much. I have my car back since last Thursday night. I don't know if you have the same in the US but overhere our cars need an annual technical check at a qualified garage. There were some issues with an incorrect lambda value. So a new O2-sensor was fitted. There was also a leak from the waterpump, likely because of standing still too long with the belt pullig the shaft. So a new one was fitted as well. Right now, I'm searching for some wider front fenders. Some guy is selling some custom ones in Ireland, but after 3 weeks I still haven't seen a picture. Makes you wonder if he wants to sell them...

Last thursday on the way home I had a boost leak from a hose that went off from my FMIC. So I stopped my car and my passenger screamed: "Fire!!!". So I hurried to the back and saw flames from my exhaust while running idle. So I did the most sensible thing one can do, I took out my phone and shot a video before turning my car off! :D

wow didnt know the EDM s14 bumper was different.. that shyt is sickkk

cant believe you guys like that bumper, i've always thought it looked like complete SHIT. who the hell wants big-ass rear fog lights - they look like a complete after thought.

proof that people commonly want the opposite of what they have just so they can be different.

I was actually hoping for something like this to come along because I've been dying to know when I can get some of those OEM-EDM 200SX side-marker turn signals and was wondering if perhaps you knew?

they're available through motorsports, any dealer can get them for you if you have the time. they may be the same as r33, cant recall. i have several pairs but ours have been converted to LED (if you're looking for something that special)

I also had S13 lower arms fitted as they are 10mm shorter than the S14 ones. Camber bolts were also fitted to increase camber even more if necessary. And last but not least my Drifworks toe rods were installed.

And my car is at the paint shop right now:

Yeah, I know. It actually was, but I had to raise it. I couldn't get it as low as I wanted, because of rubbing against my inner arch. But then again I had to raise it further from stop rubbing against the inside of my fender when I turn my wheels. So I'm going to try to grind some more of the inside of my fender. But it's still limited because of lack of space from my inner arch.

JOeS, I've read the entire thread thus far and I must admit that your friends as well as yourself have great fabricational skills. The battery relocation box was my favorite bit!

I too, have a S14.5 (the S15 front end with 2001 headlights, oem bumper, and oem hood was a free gift with the purchase of the US3800.00 Zenki SE) and am in the process of getting another SR20DET swapped into this Daily driver. You're both right. Well if a better front bumper comes along I might get it. And I need to fabricate bigger inner arches for the front before I can lower it more. So I have to wait for that.

Thx man! I'm not really sure what to do with my motor. Either 550 cc injectors with a H-Dev stage 2 chip from Horsham (http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_409_414_415&products_id=5036&osCsid=d35f1bf355) or a VQ35 swap. My friend is currently looking in the latter, so I'll wait for now to see how his build is going. My friends also started with a 2JZGTE swap in a S14. That's also an option I consider. I need an excuse to take the engine out for the fabrication of my inner arches, right? :D

very nice, but until the rim touches the fender it's still just a dream.

Nice build, any perforamnce upgrades in it's future?
Either 550 cc injectors with a H-Dev stage 2 chip from Horsham or a VQ35 swap. My friend is currently looking in the latter, so I'll wait for now to see how his build is going. My friends also started with a 2JZGTE swap in a S14. That's also an option I consider.

Nice! I will lower it, I just need to take care of the inner arches first. :(

Honestly I think the car looks amazing as it sits. I would not go lower.

JOeS, I can understand if you decide not to lower it more as anyone can see that you've spent money so much on paint and bodywork already. Do what what you will. You still win anyway...

What do you mean? They are functional, I can drive my car normally. It is my daily. It's also rather comfortable and not bumpy since I don't like a harsh ride.

This car is sexual. Awesome build thread, this shit is titties. I wouldn't change a thing.

Well since it is finished I drive my car once a month. It appears that I like it more to make the car rather than drive the car. I also don't need it since I have another car. So therefore I've put it up for sale:

For sale Nissan 200 Turbo 16V SX S14.5 widebody € 10,950 (http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/showDetails.html?id=149047119&__lp=4&scopeId=C&sortOption.sortBy=price.consumerGrossEuro&makeModelVariant1.makeId=18700&makeModelVariant1.modelId=43&negativeFeatures=EXPORT&lang=en&pageNumber=4)

And this is how it looks now!! After a lot of work with the engine! Sad the previous owners didn't took much care after the car. It is currently my daily drive and toy! Ha-ha, already done quite a lot of mileage, and maybe it's time for something new :-)
