I have a fully operational bikirom installed in a #62 ecu. For those of you not familiar with bikirom, the software is somewhat finicky to setup, but once you have it running properly on your laptop it isn't a bad system for a budget build. It is a daughterboard that basically converts your factory ecu to a fully programable unit. I upgraded to a map based EMS, so I no longer need this.
I'm looking for $350 obo. That is about as cheap as you'll be able to get into a fully programmable ecu. You can download the software for free on the bikirom website.
It's another option compared to nistune, calumn, etc. If you want to start tuning, but can't afford a power fc, aem ems, emanage ultimate, haltech, hks f-con v pro, megasquirt, or other standalone/piggy back this will give you the ability to start tuning for a lot cheaper!
