Ka24de misfire issues

I've rebuilt my KA a few months ago. It ran like a champ. Now a few weeks ago it started having an odd problem. After starting her up, she idles high like 1k-1.5k, it fluctuates. Then when I start driving it sometimes misfire and breaks up, usually anywhere 2k-3k. Even when I'm cruising, if my rpms are around 2k, it wil misfire, or hiccup, losing power then it runs good for a sec then dies off again and repeats. Only way to get over that is to give it more gas. Whens its breaking up near 3k, all i can do is give it more gas also to get through it. To top it off, my accelerater feels laggy like I could have the pedal pushed half way down and it feels as if I'm only pressing it a quarter way down. Then after I pass that half way mark, it jumps to accelerating as it should, resulting in a huge jolt forward, very annoying....



Any ideas what it could be? Injectors? MAF?

Figured it out. 240sx MAF's don't like oiled K&N filters.......

my car is doing this would you recommend to clean the MAF or did you just upgrade to a bigger/new one???

i changed my o2 sensor and that problem went away. i had a cylinder 4 misfire.
