Anyone one here mess with one of these. The S14 ones are $420 with a core deposit of $180($240 in the end). I cant afford the down time of having my rack rebuilt so getting another is my only option. 3 year 36,000 warranty isn't bad either.

Be prepared to send it back a couple times. One time we had 3 racks blow on startup in a row. Finally the 4th one held.
They always send us a new one, but it's just a pain in the butt.
So, it's kind of Russian roulette.

That's not something I can deal with unfortunately. Got my google on and people pretty much said exactly what you said, luck of the draw. A new one from Nissan is over a grand. Fortunately its only leaking very little *shrug*.

Also look at Autopartswarehouse.com and rockauto.com. Some of the products they sell have, or you can get, lifetime warranties on.
Maval is really good too, they have lifetime warranties on all their remanufactured items:

I used NISSAN 240SX Steering Rack 95-98 All Steeringrack.com (http://www.steeringrack.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=4334) for mine last year. Has worked out good so far, and they were pretty quick with the core refund, though there packing left a bit to be desired, with a tie rod sticking through the box, but no damage.

no, if you add it to the cart the total price is $315 dollars. so its 215 after you get your core back.
Anyways, I bought mine used for $70 off craigslist. its been working for 4 months so far; plus, since i didnt have to pay a core charge, i got to keep my old rack as a spare and rebuild it.

Yea, my friend is his second one. This one seems to be holding fine but not 100% sure

Looks like I have a few options. I'll update this when I purchase and install one. Thanks.
