FT: 95 GS300 - 2JZGTE - Lots of mods

I am looking to trade my 95 Lexus GS300 for something that I am not tempted to throw any more money into. It seems as though any time I get money in my hands, it ends up going into the car, and I am trying to save money for a house.

JUST SMOGGED THE CAR.. Registration is current, all fees paid, tags good til May 2011.

Engine & Exhaust:
- Aristo 2JZ-GTE Swap
- Single T70 Turbocharger
- Stainless Steel Tubular Manifold
- Tial Wastegate (9psi Spring)
- 3" Downpipe
- HKS Dual Exhaust
- Aluminum Radiator
- Huge Front-Mount Intercooler (Bar & Plate - Good for ~600+HP)
- Trans Cooler
- Optima Battery
- Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
- New water pump and timing belt
- Receipt for swap + Maintenance

Suspension, Wheels & Brakes:
- LS400 4-Piston Brake Upgrade (Brand new pads)
- Tein Coilovers (Adjustable)
- 350z 18" Anniversary Edition Wheels
- Aristo Strut Bar

Electronics:
- $700 Blitz SBC i-Color Electronic Boost Controller (With real-time electronic boost-gauge)
- AEM Wideband O2
- HKS Turbo Timer
- Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD double-din head unit (Genuine Pioneer iPod hookup routed to center console)
- Car is pre-wired for a sub.

Lighting & JDM Goodies:
- JDM Headlights (With custom LED Running lights)
- 6k HID System
- JDM Tail Lights
- JDM Window Visors


- A/C Blows Cold as Ice
- Power Steering works perfectly
- Car idles and drives like stock.
- All electronics work.

Car is currently making around 375-400hp to the rear wheels, and only needs some larger injectors and tune to hit the 500+hp mark (with ease).

Problems:

- Speedometer isn't working. No clue as to why.. figuring it needs a speed sensor or a cluster (At max a $100 fix)
- Could use a better paint job, the one it has is not horrible, but if you are anal, you will probably want to get one done.

If I were going to sell it, I would probably ask for a price in the 8k + range, with all of the mods and in the current condition. Thanks for looking!

Pretty much the only interior problem, a common Lexus problem.. and I have found a complete genuine leather replacement set that replaces every single piece of leather in the car, for $400 shipped. Installation is actually pretty easy, but I haven't really been able to justify spending any more money. I don't see the seats when I am sitting on them.. and they are just as comfy! lol

Looks good! I'll definitely keep it in mind. Looking for something more along the lines of an is300, 350z, g35, 98+ GS300, SC300, Stock N/A MK4 supra, etc.. but I really dig the look of your car. I'll definitely let you know!

i have the newer version(vvti) of the aristo motor in my is300...pulls really fucking hard in the is300 chassis hows it feel in the gs300? never road in one or even a stock one lol

Yup. Aristo trans. I love it.. It shifts ridiculously fast, and never slips. The motor pulls really hard in the GS body as well.. ESPECIALLY on the freeway. I was pleasantly surprised!! Most of the time, I just cruise it, but sometimes other cars try to pick on me because they think I threw an exhaust on a stock Lexus. There were definitely a couple of times that I shocked the hell out of some quick cars.. Off the top of my head, there was a new evo (Modded out), a 2000's vette, and a Ferrari. I always get the "WTF??!" look. It's like they expect to blow my doors off, and I am sitting either side by side with them, or I start pulling. Especially the Evo.. that thing didn't stand a chance. Hahaha. I can't even describe the look on their face when they find out that my car is auto. It is the best feeling ever!

I hear that the vvt motor is a bit quicker to spool up in the lower rpm's but aftermarket cams are a pita to get a hold of, and your choices are extremely limited. I had thought about doing a 2001 GS300 with the vvt swap, but things fell into place with this car, and I ended up extremely happy with it. You mod yours at all?

Forgot to add that a trans cooler was installed at the time of the swap to keep the transmission very happy. And.....

In the pics, you may notice that the hood is propped up in the back. The previous owner did the hood lift mod, and I actually like the way it looks on the car, so I left it. It can be easily undone if you want a more "stock" look.

On a side note...

Been contemplating keeping the car for a couple weeks now, and I am not quite sure what I want to do at this point. Been driving it around, and realizing how much I really love her. If there are no offers that I want to accept by the end of the week, I am probably going to take her off the market and keep her in the garage..

Just smogged and re-registered the car. Tags are good until May 2011. If anyone is in the market to pick her up, you won't have to smog it to register it in your name.
