I've an S13 with an original CA18DET. I've been trying to figure out what the problem is for about a month now. The car has been rumbling quite a bit and shaking a lot more. I've also noticed a lot of power loss. Ive checked the motors mounts and their still fine, I just had the cat converter and just had a straight pipe put in for now while I wait for a new cat converter. Now i'm not sure if the new cat converter will fix since It seems like the O2 sensor needs that. After removing the converter and adding the straight pipe, the car is running a bit better but it still hasn't recovered all its power and it still has the rumbling noise and shaking. My car sounds like a WRX right now and runs like a Honda civic, FML. If anyone has any idea what I should look for please let me know. Once I put the new Cat converter in and hook up the o2 sensor do you think it will fix the problem?

I'm 95% sure its the coil pack. Anyone got a set laying around I can buy?

Awesome, I heard that it is recommended that I change the whole set? What are you asking for them? I'm on a tight budget right now. Let me know. Cheers.

usually sell them for 25 bucks a pop. I used to buy them up all the time when I was running around with my CA and kept a stock pile of them.

Did you always change them one at a time or always a full set?

I have a full set aswell.. located in alberta. Always good to have spares.. especially if your using the coilpack cover.

How much do you guys want for the set? I'm located in Winnipeg Manitoba. Is it hard to change these or is it straight plug and play?

4 bolts+ a clip.

very simple. I sometimes changed them 1 at a time, and sometimes changed them as a set. I used to buy them everytime someone was selling because they would go out every so often....... probably because 20 years ago they were brand new.

Whats the best method to check the coils one at a time to see which one is messed up.

I just replaced the spark plugs 2 weeks ago, it doesn't feel like its running on all 4 cyl.
