so i just acquired a nissan pulsar GTI-R
it needs a new starter
im just wondering if the regular S13 starter or any SR starter will work with this motor
also did some research to find out the bottom end is the exact same as any other SR but it has a different head
im wondering if i could just get a S15 SR20 and slap that in?
all input would be great thanks!

According to FAST, The U14 Bluebird is the only one that shares the same starter.
Bottom end is not the same as RWD SR's.
The RNN14 engine is basically a "NISMO" Engine so to speak. Bottom end is stronger
So an S13/14/15 engine will not just drop in there. and the Pulsar head will not transfer onto other SR's and neither will the ITB's (unless you have the adapter flange)
The AWD tranny will not bolt up either

Nope, RWD SR's have their own starter, none other
I already told you the U14 Bluebird uses the same starter as the GTI-R

Nissan FAST (the program that the dealership uses to look up part numbers and compatibility between parts)
Only says that the U14 Bluebird starter is the ONLY one that will work with the Pulsar GTI-R NO OTHER STARTER WILL WORK!
Start checking Ebay or whatever

They cant. But I can because I have both programs
But the U14 is a JDM vehicle

Why not take it to a rebuilder to see if they can fix it up, before spending 500 bucks to get one shipped to you from Europe.
