Hey, I Have a 95 S14, and its Auto >_<, but I wanna swap a Manual into it. Do you guys know where I might find one? and how much you think it is?

Any Ways, I was Planing for a Black SR20, but then The whole work kinda cost a lot so Im just gonna go with KA Manual and Tirbo. WHat do you think? which one is Better in your Opinion? I hear KA is better to rebuild sicne Parts are easy to find and that it got more Tourqe and you SAVE money. But I hear that SR20 has more work and that parts that are harder to find when soemthing goes wrong but better Millage.

SO in your Opinion, what Should I go for SR or KA Turbo?

I really like my S14, but its getting old to me since its an AUTO, By gettign a Manual Swap I feel that it'll be a WHole newer car having somehting diffrent and more work and something to keep me busy while driving at night. But then I'm in the Faze for Need for Speed, so I dont know in the long run is it better for SR or KA Turbo...?

Well any ways, Thanx for any Post you leave back with Ideas for me.

Junkyard or forsale section

- Which one Cheaper: KA(Turbo) or SR?
Depends on how much you know what connections u have what deals you can get, i got a sr20 and s13 for 800 way cheaper than turbo ka

- Which is better for Power?
Don't listen to people if they say the KA is inferior to the sr it isnt it has as much potential if not more if you know how to work it

so basically depends they can both put out 500+hp i dont think you or i ever will have that much tho

- Whats Better in the Long Run?
KA you blow it you go to the junkyard and buy a new one for 200 bucks

I'm in the same shoe as you...I have a '95 AUTO (ignore the front end). Anyways I'm leaning towards KA-T since I know I can find parts slightly easier. Plus a rebulid or "clean-up" (new gaskets and stuff) is slightly easier. I would also like to have my A/C with ease. :D I'm currently reading up on alot of stuff and plan to buy that book titled Maximum Boost...oh yea and FSM.

Discussed thousands of times and in search.

That said, close to equal cost.

SR will rock. KAT will rock.

If you want to drift, get suspention mods first and learn the art. If you want to street drag or just pull, the KADET will do everything the SRDET will but SR's usually are lower miles.

SR swap is a good deal overall...but some jacka$$es keep raising the price where the KA will be a better value and more displacement to boot.

theres nothing wrong if you go with auto ka-t if you're into drag racing...

going sr will prolly be cheaper if you want manual conversion + ka-t... well.. depends on your setup though
