View Full Version : What type of Oil to use to break in SR20?

I've read several guides to breaking in an engine.
However I haven't read what type of oil to use, 10W40 is the only weight I've heard however I don't know what brands to buy.
If someone could I would appreciate if you could tell me what type of oils I should use breaking the engine in.

Torco TBO Premium break in oil.

Bisimoto always use it on their drag cars.

After you use that. Hit me up i have 6 qts of SR-1 10w30 oil sitting around i dont use. $70 worth.

eh...any old cheap ass NON-synthetic oil will work for initial start up and break in. any "special" oil is just a sales gimmick. once you've started the motor and started driving change it after the first 50 miles. and then after 1000 swap to synthetic
