whats up guys im rebuilding my single cam but i have a question about the timing...right now the block is ready for the rebuilt head to go on..i know the crankshaft and camshaft keyholes are supposed to be at 12o'clock with number 1 piston at TDC.before i bolt down the head is there anything special i need to do?i have read that wen u set the timing everything is supposed to be at TDC on the compression stroke then the oil pump and distributor are installed with the shaft looking like a backwards "D"...so my main question is how do i go about installing everything starting from where i stand?
this is my first engine rebuild so please bear with me guys;)
thanks!!

sohc Manual*
sorry that word was missing. I'd imagine thats the only way to get it perfect and understand what needs to be done flawlessly.

yes....if you're lucky enough to have an engine in your nissan that actually came with the car indulge in the sweetness of an FSM or at least a SM of some kind....ftw

That is why i didnt go into detail about how to do it because without pictures or step by step details it would be pointless
