i got a 91 s13 with a rebuilt ka24de built to stock. new water pump, good radiator, good fan clutch. ok now the part im confused about. after the rebuild the car was overheating all the time but that was before i learned how tricky these things can be about bleeding the cooling system. so tonight i re-bleed the cooling system and the car stopped over heating but at the same time i notice a good amount of water coming out of my tailpipe. my first thought is head gasket but that is brand new and the car hasn't even been driving yet on the road. i am going to check the compression asap just need to get a gauge first. also the i believe the intake gasket slipped or something because their is a vacuum leak on the rear runner of the intake. i pulled the spark plugs to check to see if there was coolant or oil on the plugs but they are all clean. the rear cylinder spark plug thought is more light brown probably due to the vac leak on that runner though. the thing that really has me tripping is when i pulled the #4 spark plug there was steam and water condensation in the spark plug tube. i even noticed water dripping out of that valve cover grommet.
so on my next day off i am going to do a compression check, change oil, and clean the spark plugs. any other suggestions on things to do? or any idea why water/coolant would be coming out of the rear spark plug grommet in only that cylinder.
