hey, I was driving my car a few days ago (s14 silvia with sr20det, fmic kit, blow off valve and that's just about it for upgrades) when I pulled down my alley and started boosting, my car stalled and I noticed that a tube going in to my intercooler had blown right out, so I replaced it and have now just noticed that the car doesnt exactly sound the same as it did before, there is less of a suction noise coming from the intake when im boosting and i can here a distinct whinning/whistling noise coming from my car (im not sure if this is my turbo making the noise or what) and my blow off valve is not nearly as loud as it used to be. I was wondering if you guy's had any input on what I should try to fix next? does it sound like my turbo could need a rebuild? and haha is the oil in that spot a bad thing? sorry, lol im kind of a newb.

forgot to mention taking off the hot pipe (I think thats the one it was, lol it was the pipe that feeds directly in to the turbo from the front mount) and noticing what looked like oil coating the entire inside of the turbo side right where that pipe was dissconected.

lol do you think there is any chance I would be able to re-build it, or is it just fucked?

is it ball bearing?

You are SOL if it is.

If it's not I can rebuild it, or any of the millions of shops can....

2871R is a good way to go. Smallest upgrade available IMO, logical next step if you like the response of a smaller turbo
