S13 Exhaust Fumes

Yo so i just got a S13 Coupe that has had a 5sp swap done but the kid who did it seems to have half assed almost everything. My question is when a 5sp swap is done are there any boots or sealants that go around the new pedals? I thought the fumes were coming from the shifter but now i think they are coming through the fire wall... winter is coming and if i dont fix this i will either die of hypothermia or carbon monoxide poisoning... HELP!! thx

theres no boots that go around the pedals...

have you checked for exhaust leaks ? throw some new exhaust gaskets on and tighten it all down and see if that helps, also do you have a sunroof ? is ir open and your other windows closed ? could be a vaccum thats pulling the exhaust smell back in ( happend on my hatch unless one of the windows is open )
