does anyone know if you can swap pintle caps from KA injectors to SR injectors? they look totally different. but the pintle caps on my SR are broken. has anyone done this before.

no. they are different feeds, the size of the openings are different IIRC, and it shan't fit.
If your pintle cap is broken, fix it the right way, new cap or new injector.

Yes you can swap the plastic part. It has nothing to do with how much fuel sprays out, it's just to hold the o-ring on and keep it from going down the intake manifold as well as hold the injector in place better.
Some people call that the pintel cap, other call the metal part on the injectors with the opening the pintel cap.

Yeah I had to take the ones of my stock 280cc injectors and put them on my 380cc junkyard injectors when I put them in my car.
Maybe there are different types? Mine had no holes at the bottom just
a cross over the top. If there are plastic caps with holes in them the size of the holes in the metal injector cap then I wouldn't swap those. You could just drill out the bottom a little and then put it on.

KA and SR injectors are built exactly the same.
Some of the pintle caps very in design but they all function and install the same between the SR/KA
Just google nissan pintle cap and buy the ones that look like this.
