I have a 1990 s13 coupe..just got done rebuilding it and the motor has a ticking noise when starting up...everyone keeps saying its the timing chain that is causing it to rattle at start ups but the noise comes back after the car warms up..What could the noise be.. i change the timing chain and tension..the noise is noticeable when im at a stoplight or at low RPM..HELP

Since its 90 Coupe I'm assuming KA24E. Theres's a good chance that your HLA's needs to be re-bleeded. Typically when working on the rockers arms you store this dipped on oil. Also not sure if your'e re-using the rockers arms you may need to inspect them all to make they are not worn down already causing excessive play. GL!
