It's been for a while since I heard noise from my valve cover I knew instantly it is oil issue by cam shaft. Because it happened same to my old Redtop SR.

Today I finally took the valve cover off and trying to trouble shoot...
There are no oil drops from Oil tube from top of cam shaft.
I tried to clean the tube but... not sure how. However Oil is coming out from head.

I guess tube is clogged and needs to be cleaned...

Could you people please tell me what would be best way to clean oil tube ?

Thank you

OK... Oil tube is not the problem !! I tried to blow air and not is clogged..

My only other guess is last bolt by firewall does not have any hole for oil pass... thats my guess..

does anyone know anything about this ?

Oil comes from the head to the rear cam caps and to the oil tube to lube the cams. Make sure your using banjo bolts with gaskets on the rear. It's possibly bleeding oil pressure before it goes to the end of the tube. If not that maybe time to replace the front main cover aka oil pump.. GLWT!

im guessing you dont have a oil pressure gauge. did you try turning the crank manually to see if it squirts. it's not constantly dripping on its own if that's what you think. they squirt every turn of the crank.

Bolts holding tube are not Banjo bolts... but they are longest one...
I guess it is time to call Westcovina nissan to get that Banjo Bolt....

If you turn the engine on, are you getting oil to come out of the back bolt/hole?

That last bolt isn't a bajo bolt either...it's simply a long bolt that uses the washer on the tube to seal up...

Yes I am getting oil out of engine head... but when I crank the engine there is no oil dripping from Oil rail... I do not think there was washer on that bolt...
I have to double check..

Is there supposed to be 1 washer ? or 2 washers for top, bottom?

Ya know, I wrote that late last night

You are right there aren't any under that, only on the cam cap with that bronze colored cover on it have the washers.

Regardless the bolt isn't anything fancy, juts m6xwhatever length it will be.

Then I am wondering why there is no dripping from oil tube when engine is cranking??

Also funny thing is, if I am not getting any oil from tube my cam shafts should have got damaged due to lack of oil... but they are smooth and clean.

To be honest, it even stumps me. you said you cleaned the tube...i mean, if cleaner flows through the holes, than obviously oil will as well.

To explain the lack of marking on the cams, there may be enough oil sloshing around up there to keep them somewhat nice (heck some cars I've rebuilt have had those spray tubes completly clogged)....but why or how that happens (again not saying it's right) is beyond me.
