Has anyone ever raced around this canyon? Anyone ever been here?

Where is that? I am in Diamond Bar on the Walnut side. Is it a good place to take some fast turns?

I said I already know where it is lol.

Oh yea... KNUCKL3S is my AIM name.

But yea, I read that it was a pretty cool place to take turns. The guy who wrote the page says he drifts/drifted there. Supposedly, the canyon only goes in one direction.... like a single street -- so you wouldn't have to worry about incoming traffic. I'm not 100% sure about this, but it's what I read some place.

yea ive been to turnbull before. its on gale, in hacienda heights. its good place to race. my friends take their bikes to ride up there to race. great place during the day. dark as #### at night.

Turnbull is the shit. My friend runs his Civic coupe to practice touge there whenever he's around Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights. No, he's not a ricer, he actually has a shitload of suspension mods (springs, adjustable shocks, sway bars, strut bars, etc) and not much "go fast" stuff...well for now. I sat in someones' IS300 while running through that course.

Turnbull is no joke, thoe turns are really tight as heck.

Me and a friend were runnning it hard .... when his Civic (Yeah I know) hit the guard rail ...... , also you do have to look out for oncoming traffic ... hardly any at night, plus you got to be careful with the ppl park on the road side making out. And for the Cops that patrol the area .... so its an "ok" road, more of a grip road, then trying to drift there .... you'll eat it.... just like a few bikes have in the past.

Yea, my friend sorta knicked his front bumper one night when he sorta miscalculated a curve, luckily it was just a scratch. Turnbull isn't really long, but it's challenging. Anyone ran Angeles Crest? Now I heard that's an endurance run. I've only seen a part of it since we couldn't complete the course due to....snow and winds, plus my friends' Civic had our luggage in it and two people. There's a place up here in Nor Cal that's no joke either. I just know it's a long mountainous road that eventually ends at Milpitas. I forgot what it's called, but at night, it's a bitch because it floats up and down and it's very hard to see a curve coming up ahead of you. There's also a fairly easy course somewhere in Marin where my friends usually practice at, but they've gotta watch out for deer.

MrMigs

Cuz I dont know anything about those streets.

For Goodsx: from the 57 and 60.... umm... not totally sure, but here's the info I know so far. This is from a mountainbiking page that says how to find the bike trail at Turnbull Canyon. Check it out... it has info on how to get there from the 60. As soon as I find an actual address, I'll post it.

....plz ... tell me more about this "Hacienda Blvd."

if you want a good road for drifting in the San Francisco bay area try out skyline boulevard on the San Francisco peninsula between page mill road and La HOnda. high speed drifts. Just be careful it is patroled and motorcyclists love it too.

I have to admit, when you get the SF Penninsula, it's a beautiful view. Sometimes you can't help, but just slow down and cruise through it.

Another great place in No. Cal is Woodside Road all the way to the coast. You could take Skyline to WoodSide road and turn west, there are some tight tree lined miles in there.

Turnbull is nice, but there are alot of blind turns, poor lighting conditions, lots of dirt and rock on the roads, and did I mention blind turns? Yea, there are definitely some blind turns there, especially onces that you think are light banks and turn out to be greater than 90 degree turns.

Oh yea, and if you screw up, don't worry, its a good 50-100ft drop before you'll feel anything :)
