When my TPS is unplugged my engine runs great lol, but when you plug it in, the motor dies everytime you stop, runs slow, etc.
I read a write-up on 240sxtech, and I understand the first part, which you do to test if it's good or not.
Accelerator Pedal Condition Resistance in k Ohms
Completely released Approx. 2
Partially released 2 -10
Completely depressed Approx. 10
If test shows "No Good", replace Throttle Sensor.
All checked out good. However, I don't understand how to adjust. The tutorial says:
1. Start engine and warm up sufficiently.
2. Measure output voltage of Throttle Sensor using voltmeter.
3. Adjust by rotating Throttle Sensor body so that the output voltage is 0.45 - 0.55 volts.
4. Tighten mounting bolts.
5. Disconnect Throttle Sensor harness for a few seconds and then reconnect it.
How are you supposed to measure the voltage if the throttle sensor is plugged in..? and what do i need to attach my volt meter to? I'm not smart with electrical stuff, sorry.
