I know the S14/15 SR blocks had the oil port, so does this mean the S13 head won't mate, or will it need to be blocked off, or will crushing the head gasket be enough?
Any input will be appreciated.
Unless your input is to search.
I did.

after another couple hours of research I see that it's likely to be okay with the head gasket but people prefer to weld, or tap/die... does anyone have any experience in doing this or no?

im just wondering, but why do you want to put a s15 block into a s13 head???

Because I spun a bearing in my S13 block and I came across an S15 block for the RIGHT price.

It wont work, I had my ARPs torqued to 89lbs and oil still seeped out using a cosworth headgasket, best bet is to get it tig welded and then deck the block, I have pics of where it leaked will look for them and post if I find.

You definitely will need to block the oil port off. Tap it and thread a plug in there.

People looking to do big power, full engine builds and have S14 or S15 engines should be paying attention. The S13 head flows better than S14 or S15 head.
Of course, the VE head outflows them all, but...

Hahaha Tommy... I'm just seeing how other people did it.
This is what you get for being an asshat anyways.

Hmm, didn't know that, I couldn't find much comparisons on them that specifically talked about this aspect.

does anybody have a more zoomed out photo of which port this is? I can only assume it's the one closest to the front of the engine, but would like to see exactly.

It's pretty simple really. The S13 head is high port. If you look in the intake ports they go straight down to the intake valves. S14 and S15 heads are low port, which means they have to make a harder bend into the combustion chamber.
The VE head has very nice, big, straight ports, not to mention high lift cams stock.

but I need to block the port on the block, not the head...

he doesn't have an s15 block or an s13 block, he has an s13 head and is getting a good deal on an s15 block.
