S13 Brake light Help

Hello I have a '92 s13 and im in the process of swapping a sr20 into and yesterday when i hooked up the battery for the first time in a while to do the first startup, I noticed that after i turned the ignition off the brake light stays on and when you turn the ignition back on it goes off. With the ignition off, key out it stays on wether the p-brake is up or down. Any suggestions. help?

hmmm interesting i had something similar to this happen to me when i did my sr swap. The problem with me was that when I first started the car up after the swap my brake and battery light stayed on weather I had the parking brake on or off. But lights would turn off when the car was off. It turned out to be a bad alternator. Check your all the rewiring youd did for the swap, go through everything again making sure everything is hooked up right. SR swap is pretty much straight forward nothing difficult. Do you have alram or turbo timer?

Man I am having the same problem with my 92 coupe right now. It started with the parking brake light staying on with the ignition off and I smelled burning wires. I checked the parking brake switch and found the wire running to it had been cooked. I am still trying to sort out what the heck is going on.

Did you ever figure yours out?
