I have a 180SX with a CA18DET. In the past week the car has started rumbling and losing power. The odd thing is that it only starts acting up after the car has fully warmed up. I took it to a local shop today. I thought it was possibly an exhaust leak, but the shop has stated that the motor mounts were completely worn which was causing my motor to twist and lose power. There is also visible damage to a part of my strut bar, possible from the motor banging against it when it twists. I'm wondering where I can purchase motor mounts for a CA18DET or do they use the same mounts as a regular 240SX? Or has anyone experienced this before and has an idea if there's any underlying problems that I may not be seeing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.
