well like the title says, does anyone have any info on megan racing exhausts?? i know weve all seen them on ebay and they look somewat nice. anyone have any on car pics? what is sounds like or quality.

but i sapose if no one has any i could be a test dummy... just wanted to get some info first.

how exactly do they suck? because the name is gay and doesnt say APEXi or HKS or that the stainless is not really stainless... please support your argument.

A guy I know has it on his SR (3" model), and it sounds like ****, and looks like ****. Also the welds and general construction of the unit are not GREAT. But hey saving money is a good thing, ya? Quality doesn't matter either. :rolleyes:

I live in Long Beach, a guy named Steve who posts on Fresh Alloy a lot his screen name is sumtin "DET" runs it on his highly tuned SR. He also lives in Long Beach and I have known him for almost a year. He ran a 12.9 at Pomona. He practically got the exhaust for free, so he threw it on. It sounds like ****. I have heard it in person numerous times. Don't raise the BS flag on me, when YOU are the one talking out of your as*.

hey my friend has one on his 92 se-r.. it looks like its good quality, the welds and the overall construction is good..its definitley the best sounding exhaust ive heard on a se-r..its real deep. i would recomend it but ive never seen one on a 240 tho..

Listen... Every engine sounds different...

In fact, I believe that first hand experience is the best. I recorded my exhaust once and it never sounded like it really is. And comparing a V6 with a KA or SR is so much different. For instance, a 2.5" catback on a stock Turbo Supra sounds like STOCK while a 3" catback on a SR screams out loud.

I dun no...... I went on their website and they don't have anything on there. If you want a cheap-o muffler than it's cool. For a little more money (like 10 bucks), you can get an OBX (the king of cheap-o) muffler. Those things I have seen and heard, and they actually are nice (no seam welds on the canister of the muffler at all, just really clean).

I have it installed on my s14 and it is not that bad, It went on great no problems. The sound is ok and I noticed an increase in my car. The welds are ok, I have it on there until next springs sr20det swap that i am doing. It will be good until then.

I think that you'd better off spending a little more on a higher quality exhaust. You'd be happier in the end because if you don't end up liking it it'll be money wasted.

megan racing - a wholesaler of exhausts and other generic products

they specialize w/ mufflers. those w/ the MEGAN RACING stamp are thier own imported products which they have imported from HK or China.

the owner Calvin is a nice guy I have dealed w/ him...

the Dual N1 style muff I have i bought from him..

don't buy if you want to compare it to Apexi Greddy etc etc..
do buy it if you want to save a few hundred dollars and put it into something that REALLY matters like suspension. or etc.
