From what I have read you can put a J-30 lsd in a s13. What I would like to know is, can you put a complete j-30 1995? spendles,springs,half-shafts,ect. in a s13?.Also what is the gear set up? I think s13 is 4.04to1?

J30 rear spindles are completely different. Hubs are built into the spindles IIRC.

J30 final drive is supposed to be 3.9 compared to the 4.08 of the s13.

To swap the diff into the S13 you'll need a rear diff cover from an S13 (there's one on your car that would work) and possibly a shorter driveshaft from an ABS equipped S13. It's been said the shorter driveshaft isn't necessary, and people have bolted things up fine with the "long" driveshaft. For my car, I tilted the diff down with some washers between the nose of the diff and the subframe.

You can use the half-shafts from the J30. If they're from the later '95's [IIRC] then they'll be the same as s13 half shafts. the earlier models had 5-bolt flanges like the NA z32, and would only be necessary if the diff had 5 bolt flanges.
