So everything on this car was crap and ive been slowly fixing these problems.
my question is the car has megan coilovers on my s14.
when i turned the bottom mount as high as i could i noticed it didnt lower the car really. is it okay to take the preload off and droop the spring far enough to lower the car how i want it. i feel like it will almost be on top of the bump stop.
i know older tein models were like that, you just lowered the spring.

the spring pre load shouldnt really be messed with man, what size rims does the car have & how low are you trying to go?

Huh? what? Spring Preload are independent to height on those coilovers....
If you want some people flip the bottom mount to get lower or remove the lower collar and put the mount touching the spring lock collars

I would most certainly remove the spring preload that they have (as it's not needed) and simply turn them till they just touch the spring, and then use the second spring to lock against it
As far as height, you need to spin the the lower nut up as far as possible, and then run the lower housing up near the spring as close as you can/desire.
Trust me when I say, the MR can totally bottom out your car....and on top of that, if you think you'll be riding on the bumpstumps...well, you will be.
