trying to clean oxidation off aluminum block

I want to clean this oxidation off the aluminum block but I'm not sure whats the best way to do it.

I took a picture on my phone to show what I'm talking about. I just put on a brand new upper oil pan to compare.

I just used a Wire Brush (on a Drill) and Carb Cleaner and a Dremel for the tight spaces

if u wanna be lazy sand blast.
