One day soon I'll be replacing the ECU in my car with a JWT ECU program. I sent them an e-mail asking the same question but didn't get a response (quess they're pretty busy). My question is do I have send in my stock ECU to get it reprogrammed or do they send me a seperate ECU and I send them my stock ECU for reprogramming. I know they're on some kind of exchance basis, I just don't know exactly how it works. I don't want any down time for my car considering it's my ONLY car. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Anyone that has a JWT ECU, or knows about what I'm talking about, your input is appriciated.
you can pay a core charge I believe.

i think what happens is you overnight them you ECU and they reprogram it in a couple of days and then you can have the overnight it back
this is all what i think so dont kill me if im wrong
i know jim wolf is a really good name, but what's the diff bw his and jet.. jet is cheaper isn't it. i heard everytime u get a mod after u get ur jwt ecu u have to tell him and pay $100 so he can reprogram ur ecu if u want mximum power.. well i dunno. please inform me.. thanx

yeah i think everytime u redo something on your car then u have to send it back and it cost more money so do the ECU last
whateverjames

they can only program it for nitrous, bigger fuel injectors, and a turbo, and maybe a cam. the ECU tunes itself for the exhaust, intake and header.

It's always a good idea to have your ecu reprogrammed after EACH major power change, and it doesn't matter who did it, it needs to be redone. But rather than the like $600 you pay for the first programming, its only $100. I'm sure JET will rape you each and every time.
And then you have to think about quality. Jim Wolf has been working on the Nissan code, which is one of the harder ones, for decades now. I heard he used to do the programming for the factory. Then JET... I had a JET chip in my Corvette. $110. Sucked. Then got a Hypertech. $130. Better, but still no. Got a $400 custom chip. Whoo-Baby!
When it's time for my ecu to be programmed, its goin to Jim. If I have an SR20DET rather than my KA, it will be shipped to Mines.
