Pulled over because i smelled something burning inside my car. Checked everything out and saw smoke coming from inside the door panel! I didn't have any tools (screw driver) on me to take the door panel off and there was literally nobody around! Saw a glimpse of a flame inside there so i panicked and ran into farmer boys and grabbed a cup of water, ran back out to my car and poured the water in between the door and the door panel and heard sizzling and saw tons of smoke as if i was putting out the fire! Once that was out i drove to my house and took off the door panel, but to my surprise i didn't see anything burned or even a trace of where it was coming from! I smelt inside there and it smelled bad like something was burning. My passenger side window rolls up and down fine so i don't think its my window amp. Do you think it's my window motor that got fried? It's the only thing i can think of.

you sure you saw a flame? Could be your speaker wiring

I'm not 100% sure but i did see something, saw smoke and smelled burning wires tho. Guess it could be my speaker wires. Speakers work fine still just window wont roll up now so im guessing the water damaged the motor?

Could be the window motor that got fried like you said. Does your window work at all? That would be my only guess. Good Luck on finding out what it is.

My window does not work at all. The passenger side does so I know the amp is fine. I'm guessing the water fried the window motor.

Really? a door panel? Let me help you. Get a Phillips screwdriver unscrew the "1" screw (assuming its an s13) and pry the door panel off and take a look. Hell If something was burning I would have used my key to get the panel off. Tools really arent needed for something like that. None the less, It appears you managed to get the door off @ home.

Where exactly did you pour.?
What area of the window?
Close to the speaker?
All that can help you pin point exactly where the issue is. It might be something as simple as a bad switch

LOOOOOL!

It wasn't an s13 but s14. I poured it in from the top of the door panel closest to the speaker id say. The window was down so i just poured where the window went down.
