I'm in the midst of doing my timing chain and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the passenger side mount off.

The only thing that fits is a 3/8ths 14mm socket with a U-joint. The impact gun broke both my 14mm sockets. I'm hesitant to use a breaker bar with a socket because the nut is already rounding out a little.

All my heavy duty impact sockets and extensions don't fit in there.

The driverside was easy, I just unbolted the mount from the block. Tons of room to play. The Passenger side is being a real slut.

Anyone care to share their preferred method of removing the P/S Motor mount?

by the rack theres a nut that holds the mount to the cross member. take that out instead of the 4 at the block

its kind of a pain to get to, but you can do it with a 3/8s socket and swivel

That's what I was saying. I was trying to use a 3/8'ths and a swivel but the nut it jammed on pretty good. Any good techniques for breaking it loose? My impact sockets and gun won't fit.

Get a torch, make the nut red, take it off.

Will that wreck the rubber in the mounts?

just put a 14mm closed end wrench (preferably ratcheting) on it and hit it with a rubber mallet to break it loose.

Yes it will but if he's replacing the mount doesnt matter.
Use a small map gas torch and heat the nut up while hot ( doesnt need to be red hot just keep it on for about 30-45 secs.) Try to loosen with your swivel setup .more times than not the nut will brake loose.
JUST BE CAREFUL AND CAUTIOUS BECAUSE THE FUEL LINES ARE IN THAT VICINITY

Sounds like you need to get some PB blaster/Kroil.
