ka24e oil pump leake, causing low oil pressure?

Stupid question? I'm sure it is but I jacked my car up today to find my oil leak and realized it came from the oil pump. Would that cause low oil pressure?

just replace it with a 280zx turbo oil pump.

To answer the ops question, yes.

So maybe it is low oil pressure causing my chain rattle because my car is leak free except for that leak. Also when i pulled out a quart and added marvel mystery oil the leak got louder. I just let the marvel sit in the car for about 20 minutes with the car running and then i drained it and changed the oil. Tomorrow im adding a quart of lucas to see how it sounds but that oil might have just been a waste because i might just replace the oil pump all together.
