Painted My S13 350z Silverstone

I finally got my car painted. I decided to go with the 350z silverstone and black top.

I left my engine bay and door jambs black since I have a black top anyways. Plus I'm broke now.

I still think that black roof looks better with brighter colors but silverstone looks good when the light hits it right. Car looks great.

I started a lot of the bondo on spots that needed it, fiberglassed the holes from the wing on the trunk and fiberglassed the antenna hole. Then I wet sanded the whole car down.

My shop finished up the rest of the prep and bondo. It was a pretty fair price cuz I had some body work on my door as well as rear quarter panel.

The paint job is by no means a "show" quality paint job, I couldn't see spending $3000 on a 12 year old car.

That looks amazing. Good call on keeping the roof black. If I were to ever paint my car a color other than black, it would look like that, except with S2000 gunmetal color.

Door jambs and engine bay does cost a lot more, especially the engine bay. The car is not a show car. I figured since my car was black, it wouldn't be too bad especially with a black top.

WOW that looks darn good. I am in the situation you where in I would assume. Trying to figure out what color to paint the car. I was looking at that color or another silver. But you got to it before I could. Car looks darn good.

I've been to many meets in the past, but most of you probably wouldn't recognize my car anymore.

I was originally going to go with the s2000 silverstone, however, by the time I had the funds to paint my car I decided on the 350z silverstone. 1) I think it is slightly darker. 2) I wanted to keep it in the nissan family! NISMO! :D

Ohhhhhhh man...You just gave me the perfect color for my car. Mine's already silver, and the clearcoat is goin to ****. Plus major chipping on the rear bumper and lot's of oxidization on the hood. Now I know what color I wanna get when the time comes. Very fresh choice my friend.
