Just curious, I didn't eat breakfast at home, and I am really tempted to go get a breakfast burrito or some beacon egg sandwich.

It'll probably be fine.
Too much nonsense to worry about these days.

X2.
Media always blowing things out of proportion.
Why would a restaurant (fast food or not) serve something that could be potentially hazardous to their customers? Especially in this lawsuit-happy U-S-of-A.
You'll be fine.

why would egg be any different than any other ingredient?
i just tune out all the "don't eat this right now" crap.
If it doesn't kill you it only makes you stronger. Damn these hippies with their weak ass immune systems.

I'd just ask the place to cook the eggs more.
Wouldn't have them do eggs over easy or raw (if thats your thing)

Unless the eggs are runny (ie, fully cooked), you should have no problems. Avoid sunny-side up/over-easy etc if you want to be very careful. Plus businesses are likely to be very careful about something like that and immediately pull any eggs affected by the recall to avoid a potential lawsuit.

Don't pay much attention to the news, huh? Over half a billion eggs have been recalled due to salmonella. Over 1500 people have gotten sick from them.

Fucking idiots. Unless the egg is spoiled, clean the shell then cook egg. Prosper.
If eggs werent safe I'd be fuked, I'd say about 70% of my diet is eggs haha.

will cooking it well destroy the salmonella? trust me, you don't want to get it from eating eggs. i have been avoiding all eggs for a while.
i think i got salmonella in my system once because i disregarded that jalapenos were reported in the news to have an outbreak. i took the news without regard and got extra jalapenos on my sandwich and what a mistake that was since it brought a painful week for my anus. it was more annoying than painful actually, have you had to shit nothing but water every 20 mins for 5+ days straight? one of the worst food poisoning i have ever got.

Also keep in mind a lot of fast food places use liquid egg, not egg directly from a shell. Haven't heard anything about that being bad.
