How exactly does the computer detect a code 32 on the OBDI KADE?

I have seen people attribute it to the exhaust temp sensor but if that is the case wouldn't it throw a code 35?

I have also heard it blame don the BPT valve. In that instance why wouldn't it give a code 36?

I know for certain that my egr works(the engine stumbles if you move the diaphragm) and the vacuum lines are all good(recently replaced ALL of them) and I appear to be getting vacuum to the right places at the right times.

So why the code 32?

I don't mind having the emissions equipment on my engine. I also don't mind bypassing/fooling what ever sensor is causing the code 32.

Thanks for the link.

That is the most info I have seen regarding the BPT valve.

I think I will be replacing mine and checking for any exhaust leaks.

Does any one else have any useful info on the subject?

King,

Check out the attached link:

EGR (http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/ecm_code_32.htm)

If you haven't already done so, use the SEARCH function here on Zilvia & download the appropriate Factory Service Manual, (FSM), for your model year 240sx. Follow the troubleshooting procedures listed in the FSM to figure out how to clear the Code 32.

I'm not sure if this applies to your model year 240sx, but check to see if you have two solenoid valves hidden BEHIND the valve cover between the back of your motor & the vehicle firewall. It's possible if those solenoids get clogged or go bad, you won't get vacuum to your BPT/EGR valves. A friend of mine had that problem...bad solenoids.

Anyhow, hope this helps...
