IDRC/Dsport is throwing an event at the California Speedway on Sept 4th in Sunny Southern California and we’re bringing the SHAKOTAN Auto Showcase to you. Its bringing all motorsports together from Drag Racing, Drift Cars (http://g35driver.com/forums/#), and all types of Show cars all in one.

looks like its $41.50 (what it states on the website), but it says there are group discounts if you register with friends (5 or more)

zero classic imports.... shitty food (boiled hamburgers??)
zero car show of anysort .. fatlace was not there.
toooooo fuckin hott (but thats a given i guess)
four or five formula d cars only one of which i saw run down the line
nothing but hondas really. cars kept breaking down puttin oil on the track etc..
prolly the only cool part about it was chatting with Fredric Aasbo

so yea all in all i was disappointedso im assuming this was your first import drag racing event ? Battle of the Imports should change its name to Battle of the Hondas on the west coast. So-Cal is infested with FWD Drag racers. Go to the mid-west and you'll get an assload of 4WD drag racers. same with the south with their 1000RWHP Supras. Sorry you had to find out the way you did man, thats the reason i stopped going to these events.

Well to tell you the truth, it was hella hot there, but I had a great time maybe because we took First Place in the Drag Event!!!

There was a show. it was on the other fucking side of the event in the middle of nowhere. 45 cars decided to show. They asked us to help them promote their event/show but its always been an extremely hot event. 110 degrees, i believe. Sorry the turnout wasnt good but this week's 1/1 & FD Event is going to be 200x better. 100+cars and better weather.
