First and foremost Big ups to Ruf and Reflex Racing for getting this exhaust for me! that slow boat and the detour to Dousans aside shipping was pretty quick considering it came from the motherland of the rising sun :)

now.. its a two piece full stailess steel exhaust 80mm (still think its a little bigger than that... wish I'd measured before hand) 115mm tip. so straight through I can stick my arm in the pipe up to my freaking shoulder almost. came with two gaskets and two bolts.

Put together looked like this

install was super easy everything fit 100% perfect beautiful fit and finish. the usdm bumper support DID touch a little too much for my taste so we took it back off and cut a notch in the support to make room for it

now this thing sits LOW to the ground (resonator and pipe) hehe Jason Scraped it on a speed bump going home from convention and I know I did at one point too. gotta get under there and do something to raise it a little...

tip clears easily :) and sound is REALLY nice. quieter than I expected especially at idle. much quieter than the N1 Duals. nice deep bassy tone
theres video in the imagestaion account.

The pictures and sound clips don't do justice to this exhaust. It is very quiet and even better looking in person. It hangs low and scraps a little but I think it is one of the best things on Steeles car. Big Ups to Reflex Racing. I will definitely be doing business with them when the time comes.
How much did everything cost yOU?

DV - sorry man I dunno lol I was impressed I managed to get the silly things into imagestation lol.
DRFT Muzzy Bob - thanks guys I was really impressed by it. the tones actually a little lower than the vid suggests. that vid clip was taken 5 minutes after it was installed and was taken still in the garage bay. its mellowed a little more. I'll try and get another one soon
sway you pretty boy wanna be pimp you :) thanks man. take that money in your pocket and give it toRuf he'll get ya the god stuff :) and Im tired of seeing that poor car sit neglected :p
Four - as Dousan said if Ruf is ok with me posting it I'll do it. but lets just say for a rare exhaust plus shipping from Japan it wasnt that bad :)

Is this exhaust the Yashio Super Silent II? or is it just called Super Silent?
I was talking to a shop about exhausts and they said that they could get a Yashio Factory catback (didnt give me the name of the model), and then the Yashio Super Silent II, Rspec sport(is Rspec the manufacturer?) and the Uras Type RS exhaust.
He gave me a price quote and there was a 200 dollar difference between the regular Yashio Factory exhaust (cheaper) and the Super Silent II... so what are the other Yashio exhausts? Does anyone on here know?
And does anybody know anything about the Uras and Rspec exhausts?

yes its the super silent II I just didnt put the II in the title....
not sure of the difference. I think the noise level. iirc the other yashio exhausts dont have the resonator thingy and are pretty mmuch straight pipes and louder.
no idea about the uras ones or the Rspec. there was a group buy on the Uras ones not to long ago a buddy got in on so he should have it in a few weeks.

etd? what are you talking about?

it looked like a little brace for the engine to the strut mount and the caption on the pic said ETD

ETD = engine torque dampener. It dampens the movement of the engine when revving or accelerating. Since whe are on the subject Steeles is it just for the SR or will it fit the KA?
Steeles
08-08-2003, 08:07 AM
ahhh my brain wasnt functional. yes that is project silvias engine torque damper.
Stee - I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to take a look at a KA again to tell you. iirc Robert said it should... but I'll look soon as i find a KA and see if the block plate has somewhere on the KA to mount.
