Sam is the man. Just got my used 15x6.5 Work RS-Betas. What a gorgeous wheel. Very dirty and a little scuffed up, but delicious. Very light. Will weight them soon. Chip (my MINI Cooper) will love them. They are called "gunmetal" but it's so dark that it's more of a metallic black and the lip is actually 2-tone as well. Got a decent 1.5+" lip. Not bad for a +43 FWD offset... YUM.

Ok, my sexual preference has been called into question because of the name of my car. The MINI Cooper is named "Chip" because I picked up a biga$$ rock chip in the windshield the first week. So bite me.

nice.

what are you gonna use to get rid of the oxidation/crap on the lip? ive tried a billion things and nothing will do it completely, or very well.

can u wet-sand it? not sure if it has clear-coat or not... i wet-sanded my non-coated wheels with 600-grit, worked pretty good.

I left one at my wheel shop to see what they could do with it. We'll find out on wednesday.

The stuff they use to clean surfaces for tape weights at Discount/American Tire does a pretty damn good job at cleaning wheels. My friend made the inside of one of my 12 year old volks shine like new with that crap, and trust me, the inside lip was much worse than what you have in the pics. You could find out what they use and give that a try.

Yah, I'd just be a little concerned with how it might affect the paint finish. We'll see what they come back with.

Just try some chrome polish and buff out the oxidation (assuming its chrome), then repaint the centers, and then get entire wheel clearcoated. If you clearcoat them the oxidation shouldnt come back.

i love jspec prices! YA sam rocks
ive never had a problem with any of his pricing.

if you can get it from japan cheaper yourself then go for it. i can get it from japan from a friend but when you calculate shipping its still around same from sam. sometimes bit more but not much. sam is cool as hell and im proud to rock the Jspec sticker at the competitions and on my car. :) jspec rules.

Yeah Sam's pricing is good. Especially considering the products he gets for his customers. Only good things to say about Jspec. Dont knock it cause your cheap!

Edit: Id really like to know how to clean up wheels as well.
I bought my gold meshies from Sam and they could use alittle polishing and paint.

Yea, Sam at Jspec is a very cool guy. Very reasonable prices for the products he is selling. Don't waste his time if you a low baller and don't even have the cash.

JSpec is awesome. They provide parts that no one else can get and charge a VERY MODEST premium for them. I have dealer accounts and can get just about anything from the US or Japan new. It's the rare used stuff that is impossible to find and Sam finds it.

yup the wheels are clear coated, at least mine were... sucks b/c i was sent the wrong set on accident, bought them from a shop overseas, 4x100 instead of 4x114.3 & a +42 offset. stripped the clear, little elbow grease and mother's polish and here's the result
