Does anyone actually have any factual results from a couple years of use/driving? Sounds like alot of he said commentation. Just looking for something that has worked for someone.

the 3m stuff hes using does work. But make sure you put a few coats on. I did a single coat and it worked fine but didnt protect anything from rocks. So i added 3 other coats on top of it and now i can see where rocks basically bounce off and leave small indents in the coating.

Theres much better methods than that stuff though. Truck bedliner (Linex or Ryhno-liner) works amazing with just one coat. And dries pretty much rock hard.

I've used the 3M undercoating on 2 of my cars back in the states, never had any problems...but that was in AZ, so there wasn't much to worry about as far as rust.

I'm using Permatex undercoating on my 13, so far so good. The wheel wells and the whole underside from the firewall back have 3 coats each. It hasn't been on the road yet, but even with all the rain and salt here, it's not lifting at all.
The pic was after the second coat on the wheel wells.

We have a trailer/grill that was put together last summer that's covered in the same permatex undercoating. It's outside all the time in the weather, and it's still holding strong, no lifting, rust....

I use it on a lot of stuff that takes abuse, I've used it on my welding cart, to repaint some old metal shelves in my shop, the underside of my Durango. It's really good stuff, but I do recommend a few coats and ample drying time.

just make sure all the rust is off before you coat it cuz it can rust from the inside out.

How did you apply it if you don't mind me asking?

I use POR15 on anything I suspect to be rust before I use it...
