Okay I have a 2000 nissan altima. It was orginally an auto and I blew the headgasket in it. I decided while it was out I should rebuild it and do the 5 speed swap so I did a complete rebuild. At first everything seemed to be going okay. I was able to get the fuel pump to prime and everything looked pretty good. Now today I install the belt radiator, and alarm. Okay so now the problem it cranks once in awhile but that still isn't steady and I can't find the problem. I have installed a new power new grounds everything was checked by a mechanic so I can't figure out why it won't work. Also I dont think this is connected but for some reason the car won't electronically unlock. It will lock though and my 2 way alarm still registers it has unlocking. Everything appears it should be running fine and I don't know what it could be any ideas?

I rewired my alarm and door but I still can't figure out why it won't crank or even attempt. I have traced all the wires and I went through all the fuses.

I have discovered that the wiring is good until I get to the on position, could this mean I have a bad ignition switch ?

Well I have 4 major grounds on it now and I can get the injectors to click now and the starter soleinod to turn. I rewired alot so I have been checking constantly but it all appears correct I also checked the fuel pump and it appears everything is connected correctly.

So I get more of the problems fixed just to hit a more snag. Now I have an altima so this info is different but I am interested in what people suggest has a solution. I am leaning towards buying a new engine and trans. The 93 and 94's have the crank angle sensor in the engine, the 95 and 96's in the engine and the 97 and up have it on the block. So my 2000 engine and 94 transmission are no good. I am probably going to have to buy a new swap now. :angry6: :computer: Everything would be possible if I swap to a first gen dizzy and just adjust the pin outs thats the only way to seems possible. I could always drill the tranny hole but if it's off my car will never run right.
