Bout ready to start to take tackling my wiring to the next level. I know alot of people on here run either one of these,.. some maybe have experience with both.
just looking for kinda like a zilvian-report
Arc:

visually looks the best in my opinion, and has some cool features.
Painless:

I seem to see this used in more applications then the ARC, but could just be cuz its better known.
im still not entirely sure how wiring into things like blinkers, headlights, taillights and things like that work. im sure its a relay of some sort.
......just tryin' to do my research.
any and all related experience, and knowledge would be awesome!

I love the ARC stuff, I cant say anything about painless other than it looks nice cause ive never messed with it.
I put one of the other ARC switch panels in a car (the big white toggle switches) on the cage and I loved the way the panel swung down to access all the fuses.
That flat panel is fucking sweet.

Painless is pretty straight forward as long as you have the OE service manual and you know where the signals/wires path comes from and leads too your good.

hell yeah!
i imagined u'd just splice in to wires as close as you could, and eliminate the rest.
I wish i could find more info on the ARC, it looks pretty awesome!
....in that vid he said you can hook up an auxiliary cable so you can extend 4 switches to the engine bay as well.

Why are you trying to do this?
Bout ready to start to take tackling my wiring to the next level
If you can't do this?
im still not entirely sure how wiring into things like blinkers, headlights, taillights and things like that work. im sure its a relay of some sort.

lol....srry,.. let me explain.
ive already cut,. relocated and eliminated my wiring as much as i can. I figured anymore effort and i might as well get one of these systems.
what is there to DO to 'that' quote?
it was a question asking how they work. With one of those systems,. im assuming they come with their own relays labeled respectfully blinkers, hazards, lo-beams, hi-beams that you wire into.....?
Cuz from what i knew you could eliminate absolutely all stock wiring,.......or is that not true either.
just lookin to see if anyone with experience with these things could school me on it or post up their opinions.

what is there to DO to 'that' quote?
The action in the first quote is taking the wiring "to the next level".
The action in the second quote is wiring the headlights, taillights, and blinkers.
If you cannot DO custm wiring, how do you expect to the your wiring "to the next level"?

The only person who can answer this question accurately is a representative from the manufacturer. Please call each company's tech support for assistance.

This is true, but whether all the components you want to work will work depends on knowing how to run new wires.

You need a lot of schooling. You can learn a lot from just pulling out th FSM and reading the EL section over and over for like a month. Things will start making sense.

look man,. im not trying to argue back and forth with you. Im comfortable enough with my abilities to take on something like this
I guess you answered my question here.

.......i do find this hard to believe tho,...
try to post some knowledge you may have,..instead of your ability to argue.

I'm not arguing with you because there is no reward for winning.
I am just pointing out that your approach is wrong.
I have done dozens if not hundreds of custom wiring jobs like what you want to do. You cannot be successful if you do not have a relationship with the manufacturer.
In this case, you need to be on a first name basis with someone in tech support over at Painless and ARC. Some of those circuits are simple direct switch, but the relays can be confusing if the documentation is not clear.
I recommend just using the switch panel. Run your own relays so you can control the design of the circuit.
If you want to know how electronics or what a relay is, you can search my posts.

it is just a replacemnt fuse panel with individual kill switches. how hard can it be?

lol....right on man. i thought we were actually finally getting somewhere till ur last line.
lets just assume i kno 'how electronics work, and what a relay is' tho....lol
i figured with the hundreds of wiring jobs you've done, u'd be a little more helpful, instead of pointing out how wrong im going about it.
- how was your experience with the painless or ARC system?
- any one you'd prefer?
- how was your experience with their customer service?
i like the idea of running my own relays and such and just running their switch panel. But i didnt know if that would be something they supplied to make it easier/cleaner.

I'm tired of spoonfeeding remedial crap to the same bunch of people. If you want info on Painless, pick up the goddamn phone and give them a call.

No one said you had to "SPOONFEED"/let alone help him at all. He never said give me a step by step guide. Either help him by answering his question or leave it alone. Looks like all you want to do is show how little he knows compared to you. THAT MAY BE THE CASE but thats not helping anyone. You keep trying to make him look dumb but all your doing is making yourself look like an ignorant asshole because your showing you cant grasp the idea of answering the QUESTION ASKED.
All of us had to start somewhere. At least he's not pretending to he knows everything about everything. He's doing the smart thing by asking questions first. No need to make his journey more stressful.
WHY MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES OTHERS DID IF YOU CAN SIMPLY ASK A QUESTION THAT'LL LEAD YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

^ thanx hommie
plus i did a search and there isnt much info (at least that i could find) on here about these 2 systems and peoples experience with each. Figured it'd help out later down the line for someone else too!
