i have to ship a bomex kit to NYC..from downtown LA.  i've been quoted at $250 and that is too much.  has anyone shipped a body kit? what did you find to be the cheapest way?

never shipped a body kit but seeing as how they are heavy, big, and being shipped across the US, that sounds about right.  Sway bars (~11lbs...3'wide) shipped from east coast to midwest is about 40...35 if you get a place that promises to lose it.

i know when i got my kit the shipping was $100

yah thats what i'm afraid of.  i'm not the one paying to get it shipped, but i dont want my buyer getting raped either.  its going out by some guys named box brothers, they said they could only ship it freight, and i'm sure ups wont take it and almost sure fedex wont take it...has anybody personally shipped a body kit?

yah, was it just the front piece? i am shipping the bumper and side skirts. has anybody shipped greyhound, like where you drop it off at the bus stop and it gets picked up at a bus stop?
