Hit a deer carcass!

I was driving right down the a local road through the woods with my beautiful 97 SE around 6:30.. it was dark out and I didnt see it in time.. I drove right over a HUGE deer carcass which undoubtedly some idiot with an SUV hit and decided not to call the cops to report it or remove it. So the deer goes right between my two tires and under my car!

I think the plastic shielding under the front of the car is majorly broken into pieces.. ####!

Anything else get damaged? Good thing that shield was there...and good thing your car isn't too low! Well, the dealer shouldn't charge more than a thousand or two for that little 2pound sheild...shouldn't be a problem.
Also, did you call the cops to have it removed? Hopefully you didn't just leave it for the next person...

Yes sir VA does suck for many things, including SUVs, the people who drive them, the people who hit deers with them, and the people who leave the deer on the road after hitting it. Yes I did call the cops to remove the deer.

That plastic shield is damaged yes, but I have no idea what else is damaged under the car. I drove completely over the deer and it could have scraped against ANYTHING from bumper to bumper. Tomorrow I'll take it into a shop to have it checked out :-(.

Sometimes I think I should just get an SUV...... the roads are bumpy here anyway.... or I could move. LOL.
