Has any one on here tried it or heard of it being done when I think about it. It seems like it would work better

Sigh......for starters, an intercooler is designed to intake AIR, just like a radiator is designed use WATER/COOLANT. An intercooler and a radiator arn't NOT the same thing, they arn't just tubes that flow fluid and cool it down. There's factors such as volumetric flow rate, specific weight, etc that go into designing the 2.
Overall they're MUCH MUCH MUCH different, even though they work the same.
