I know this isn't a 240 or anything but I figure I could maybe get some help from people around the area etc. And I know sometimes fuckers will come down from L.A./Fresno/wherever just to get a car.
If anyone sees could you call police, and my number is 661-247-9433. Thanks

Yea the only thing is, is it was stolen from in front of my house, so I know that they were scoping the 240 out as well...
No new updates on the car though.

Honestly man you should invest in a high quality camera, hide that shit during the day and record it throughout the night for a few weeks and see if you see anything suspicious... My father has a few cameras at his house that record none stop and stores the data on a hard drive. Good shit because when our lawn got demolished, car keyed, and mail boxed destroyed, he was able to see a good picture of who it was, the car they drove, license plate and everything man... A bit of money but worth the investment especially with nice cars and no garage.

Just thought I would update, and ask a question if anyone knows Cali tow laws...
http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy52/voodoopeepz/asdf.jpg
And I'm C/Ping from a "law" message board.
The tow company recovered/picked up the car on the 25th. I was not personally notified until the 27th (a Friday) by the local Sheriff's department. So I go today (the 30th) to look at the car.
The only things that were stolen were the wheels and the stereo. The towing company said that the property owner told them to remove the car, and that it was on blocks when they found it.
First off, the whole front and rear bumper are severely damaged due to them dragging the car on and off the tow truck. Secondly, they charged me $370 today to release the vehicle, $70 of which was for "lien fees".
What can I do as far as the damage to the car? And was I supposed to pay the lien fees if it was prior to 15 days?
I'm going off of:
V C Section 14602.6 Vehicle Impoundment Suspended Revoked or Unlicensed Driver Hearing (http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d06/vc14602_6.htm)
"(2) (A) The legal owner or the legal owner’s agent pays all towing and storage fees related to the seizure of the vehicle. No lien sale processing fees shall be charged to the legal owner who redeems the vehicle prior to the 15th day of impoundment. Neither the impounding authority nor any person having possession of the vehicle shall collect from the legal owner of the type specified in paragraph (1), or the legal owner’s agent any administrative charges imposed pursuant to Section 22850.5 unless the legal owner voluntarily requested a poststorage hearing."
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I already feel raped on this process as far as getting my car stolen/recovered, wheels stolen, stereo stolen, car damaged, AND having to still pay towing and storage fees.
Thanks.

Yeah tell me about it. And the way things are ran around here, I don't think it's too far fetched to say that police + towing companies aren't strung together tightly. Car gets stolen, tow company makes money. Cop impounds a car, tow company makes money.
For a car that gets 35+ mpgs + soon to be AC. Yea I think it is still worth it for the DD.
