Can anybody recommend me a competent machine shop that will

A) Redrill rotors to 4x114.3
B) Slot the rotors

I prefer local shops around orange county or south LA.

isn't 88rotors in LA? Why redrill....

The 88rotors house brand rotors cost more than OPpart rotors from Frsport.com. I need to redrill because the rotors are 5x114 and I am 4x114. 88rotors is in LA, but too far of a drive. I'm looking for a place local or furthest, south Los Angeles.

PORTERFEILD RACING your one stop brake specialist, they may or may not do the redrill thing depends on whos there when you go,but for sure sloting.

PS- you can redrill it yourself, all of the mentioned rotors are pretty soft, its not hard to do if you have a 4 and a 5 lug rotor preferably with the identical centerbores.!

That is exactly what I was looking for, thanks a ton! I heard about redrilling it yourself, but I don't feel confident in taking on the simple task. Plus, I don't want to end up ruining a brand new set of rotors. Thanks again.

pm me if you want me to type up a FULL write up on how to drill them yourself. i just did it about 2 months ago, no wobbles, came out fine, i was drilling 5 lug q45 rotors, into 4 lug.

i feel you are competent to do it yourself if you have a good drill, 1 titanium 1/2 inchdrill bit, another 1/2 in drill bit,wd-40, and a pair of vice grips <- very inportant. let me know if you need help.

and machine shops are iffy on drilling the rotors, because they say it will weaken the rotor and become a liability for the shop,

but i truly believe unless you are formula one racing, then this is not going to come into effect.
