hey guys , so just about to start my car for the first time after a complete rebuild and i come to this. Im filling my coolant and just before it gets full i see coolant just pouring out from underneath my crank pulley.
so i start taking of everything from the front and i get to the water pump , here is the culprit --->

the little slot where you see the 10mm bolt .. thats where the coolant is coming from. its wide open to the inside of the waterpump ... is it supposed to be like this ? do i need a new waterpump ? i doubt it.

let me know what you guys think i should do.

that shoulda sealed up with the seal it came with.. did you happen to use a different sealant?? looks like you used the ORANGE gasket sealer.

make sure you put plenty on the middle but no too much where its gonna clock the water way.. and its a good idea to leave it for a day or so.

thats on an RB20 huh?

Thats a problem with the RB20's using the N1 pump if you look at the OEM one you will see that its just a hole and not a slot,

Only way i can see to fix that is weld that hole up and redrill it

i did use plenty of gasket maker and it did make a good seal.

weld up the hole and redrill hey .... that sucks.
