okay, so we swapped out my SR motor from my black 5 speed 95 SE 240sx to a base model auto 95 240sx.

We thought it would be straight forward but the automatic stuff is throwing us off and the car won't crank w/out us tapping the starter.

So I just found out that I need to disconnect the key capture system under the steering column, and will do that tonight and I also need to loop some wires by the fuse box

Which lower harness do ppl usually use? The KA one or the SR one? We tried using the harness from the 5 speed SE 240sx that the SR came out off but it wouldn't plug into the fuse box in the auto 240 that the SR went in. So we switched it over to the auto harness.

The confusing part is all the extra plugs from the SE car that aren't in the base model car (ABS, ABS sensors, etc). Those are just hanging for now

Also, where does this white plug plug into? I can't find anything under the dash of the auto car that this could plug into. The retard that disconnected the SR ECU from the other car didn't pay attention to what he was doing and doesn't remember if it was used in the 5 speed car or not. He only showed up for half a day and then dug out anyway.

Im pretty sure the one in your hand is the dash plug, that is really necessary for the car to run. Your gonna have to get a wiring diagram to connect the KA dash plug to where that one is now. Unless since it was already in a 240sx maybe you can just unplug the cut part and plug it right into your dash plug, but I remember it being on the firewall right in front of the ecu

You know, I looked for it but couldn't find anywhere to plug it in on my auto 95 240.

When you say in front. Do you mean on the firewall? or on the side of the ECU after it's mounted, where the ground wire is?

I thought the swap was going to be straight forward, but things aren't lining up. We can get the car to crank but it won't catch and idle.

We sprayed started fluid in the throttle body and the car will start, but then it'll just die.

It's as if something was shutting off fuel & ignition.
