I have a pair of BBS mesh rims that are 16x9 w 41+offset. I am putting them in the back. And i have found a set of Linea Sport mesh with the same style that are 16x8 w 40+offset. How will these rims fit on my car?

I plan on doing the Z brake conversion and coilovers. Will this setup clear both?

The higher the offset number means the better off to clear brakes and coilovers?

Thanks in advance guys, im sure ill have more questions soon. :o

bbs? most likely NO
clearing brakes relies ONLY on spoke design.
coilovers...i want to say yes but not 100% sure

the 16x8 wont clear coilovers i think, but im not 100% sure on s14

here from freshalloy, its not 100% accurate cuz my friend has R33 gtr w/ 5mm spacer to clear coilovers..so its really +25..but its a genearl reference..:

Wheels/hubs

-Clearance of wheels for Z32 brake upgrade is entirely dependent on wheel spoke AND wheel design, NOT on offset of wheel.
-Wheel width/offset needed for clearance of coilovers is as follows (disregarding brake clearance):

6" +54 or lower

6.5" +45 or lower

7" +40 or lower

7.5" +34 or lower

8" +30 or lower

8.5" +24 or lower

9" +20 or lower

Please note that this does not take into account variations in offset calculation by manufacturer, or tire sidewall bulge. This list also does not take into account differences in design of coilovers (esp. lower brackets on coilover kits which can cause changes in wheel clearance issues). This list also only applies to the FRONT WHEELS and is intended as a GUIDE for reference.

i doubt they made a mesh wheel that clears z brakes :(

s14 coils: (depends on tiresize, camber, and type of coil)

8 +30 should clear front
9 +35 should clear rear

so for those wheels, you prob need a 20-30mm spacer to clear the z brakes and a 5-10mm spacer to clear the rear coils.

 Thanks for the info. Well i wont be doing the Z brake ad coilovers anytime soon, so maybe i can sell the rims when it happens.

Any idea on how the car would look with those offsets? And tire size for the rims? 16x8 ad 16x9 are some wide rims and i dont know how much the wheel well can hold.

s14s can take like up to 10" (maybe more?) in back w/ proper offset and 9.5 up front i think...it all depends on offset, rolled fenders, how much camber and so forth...

Dousan and I are friends with Driftingpanda and we helped him put his wheels on. He has 17x9 +40 rear and 17x8 +28 (we think) front. I am the one Dousan talked about with the R33 wheels and 5mm spacer (17x9 +25 with spacer)And I have no clearance issues. R32 non GTR calipers (same as Z32) and coilovers front and rear. Anyway, no clearance issues. However Driftingpanda has oh about 2mm clearance with the rear suspension (aftermarket shocks and cut intrax springs). The 17x9s in the rear are holding 235/40/17s (Slightly stretched) And the fronts are 215/45/17. Anyway, I ention how little clearance he has in the rear because I feel you will need to run a 5mm+ spacer. ESPECIALLY for coilover. And if you put on tires that bulge tooo much...... skkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkrrrrrrrrrkkkkrrrrrrrrr whats that? your tire rubbing your coils.
