So here is my problem recently i have changed a rad, thermo and a waterpump in my ka s13. Finally bled the system after a while and the car was running absolutely fine. It has no clutchfan just big electrical fan that is constantly on. Then after month or so temp started playing with me again once in a while but then it went away . For the past week the car was acting up all weird. Once drivig from work i noticed the temp started going up so i pulled over shut it off and let the fan run. Checked everything was fine. Started the car again the revs wre at 1200-1500 constatnly and the temp was above middle but not moving and the revs were not dropping. I said ef that ill just try to make it home so i took of got on the highway then got home temp stayed almost in the middle and then right before pulling in my house it started raising up again and the same crap with the idle that stays at 1500 for no reason and doesnt drop. I am like absolutely clueless. Next day flushed the system, put all distilled water in it, bled it heater works thermo opens, car idled for like solid hour and half without temp moving from the middle. Took ifor the drive 20 minutes into driving temps starts jumping up couple dots again and idle does the same thing. So right now it keeps on occasionaly doing this stuff every other day. And today wen I opened the hood noticed a little coolant leak under the top bolt on the the thermo neck. So what can it be any suggestions anyone please I am clueless. Car has oem nissan thermostat and just some generic brand waterpump and rad that are like a month old

First off, you posted in the wrong place. Please use the technical section of the forum next time.
Is your coolant still full when it overheats? do you even check that? (Im asking because you didn't mention)
If it's always full, sounds like a blown headgasket. Either air is getting in that way, or another way. Is it loosing coolant?

coolant level is fine in the rad and in the overflow. No smoke from exhaust at all. Oil looks clean too. Can it still be the gasket? It does not overheat constantly happens time from time and never overheats on a idle.
btw sorry for posting in the wrong section

is your car really overheating? can you literally feel abundance of excess heat when you pop the hood that hotter than normal? maybe its the gauge tricking you ?

This didn't happen to my 240 but it happen to my CRX and guess what happened? One of the hose broke a hole (the heater hose). It was a tiny hole. It didn't drain all my coolant, but my coolant level was sure down to half and not full. I changed the heater hose and all fixed.
If you see the coolant leak, fix it, what are you waiting for? Does it suppose to leak? No. so fix it. That leak might be the problem you are trying to fix, if not you have to fix that anyway.

Have your cooling system pressure tested to ease the search for any leaks after your repairs.
Thermostat houses are easy to replace (plus, you could polish it before you throw that bisch in there ;P). Win win ^_^
