SR20 in Safe Mode

So My car doesnt run higher then 4.5k RPM and after i rev it, it chokes and wont catch and bogs down and almost dies. My cars running SUPER rich. Ive cut my 02 sensor but respliced it back together. Also, my spark plugs are pitch black when i pull them and have to clean them off regularly, and they have alot of deposit on em. i trhew in some clean newer ones and the car ran a bit better till those went black as well. NOW my friends were saying maybe my cars stuck in safe mode? Does anyone know what the signs would be of my ECU being in safe mode? And if it is, how can i get it off safe mode. Thanks guys!!

4.5k RPM is not safe mode. 2.5k-3k is safe mode. My guess is you have a boost leak somewhere causing your shit to run rich.

SOUNDS LIKE BOOST LEAK IF U DONT HAVE A BOOST LINE TESTER IE TENNIS BALL OR RAQUET BALL WITH AIR FITTING AND GAUGE CHECK WITH CARB SPRY
CHECKING ALL JOINTS....
IF NO BOOST LEAK U MAY HAVE BAD COOLANT TEMP SENSOR....
USE OBD CHECK ENGINE LITE TEST:wiggle:

check your tps sensors make sure you set it to what it suppose to be and check your maf make sure its good
